We had our first ever game at Thakeham yesterday and we're pleased to report that we won!
Steyning batted first and starting with 200 runs, amassed the grand total of 213 for 7 at the end of their 20 overs. A few catches were spilled, but otherwise a very strong performance. Finn headed up both bowling and batting, with 15 runs and 3 overs, 1 maiden, 5 for 3 wickets.
In return, West Chilt surpassed Steyning's total in the 3rd over, carrying on to a highly credible 299 for 2. William DC, Finn, Luke and Poppy scored the majority of the runs. A great start to the season and a perfect christening for the new Thakeham ground.
