If you haven't already spotted, we beat Liphook & Ripsley in the last round of the National Village Cup on Sunday. Chilt set 238-9 from their 40 overs. Having been 4-1, and 108-5 we rallied thanks to a solid 47 from Josh Taylor opening up and contributions from Oli Van Noort (57), Charlie Davies (35 in 21 balls) and Martyn Swift (29 in 11 balls) down the order. Hugo Gillespie took four early wickets to leave Liphook 33-4 and it was uphill from there for them, although they did finish 196-6.
To the victor awaits a trip to Ifield in the village of Crawley in Round Four, which is essentially the West Sussex final. The tie is due to be played Sunday 6 June. Ifield play their league cricket in Division 3 East of the SCL where they currently sit fifth. They've beaten Elsted and Emsworth so far on route to this round.
In the East Sussex final Crowhurst Park will play Outwood.
