We are so proud of our colt, Hugo Gillespie who made his premier league debut on Saturday for Brighton and Hove Cricket Club 1st XI.
Hugo is the first player to come through our junior section to go on and represent a 1st XI Premier Division Club. Batting at no 3, he made 29 n/o and scored the winning run in a good victory over Preston Nomads 1st XI.
Congratulations Hugo, well done, keep it going.
We continue to believe that at the heart of any successful cricket club is a strong and thriving junior section. Continuing to invest in good quality coaching, excellent practice and playing facilities and for any talented young cricketer ensuring there is a very clear pathway allowing them to progress through the junior ranks and into the senior teams, are all of paramount importance.
